***Means you are to conduct oneself in a proper manner***
Read 1 Corinthians 15
Key Verse: 1 Corinthians 15:58…
58 “So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”
“Work enthusiastically for the Lord…” do you work enthusiastically for the Lord? Does your conduct reflect the love of Jesus? What does the word “enthusiastically” mean to you? It means to have a fire lit passion for something and a glowing or shining intensity for doing something. Does that describe how you work for the Lord? It doesn’t matter what it is you do for the Lord, when it is done with an enthusiastic heart, it is not useless. Do not ever believe that even the smallest part you play in bringing others to Christ is unimportant. Because the passion you display in working for the Lord will not go unnoticed.
If ever you feel like wavering just a little bit, realign yourself with what you know about Jesus. Recall what He did for you on the cross. Remember what it felt like when you devoted your heart to Him. When you have that picture in your mind, and you think about what your purpose is because of the Salvation you received from the Lord, your passion, your enthusiasm can be lit again, then shine again for Him all the more.
“Be strong and immovable”… your behavior in every area of your life reflects where your heart is at any given moment. When you aren’t studying the Word of God, when you aren’t praying with fervency and you don’t serve the Lord with enthusiasm, you are giving way to an instability that can knock you way off course. Get into the Word, pray with the passion that is on your heart, and work for the Lord because He saved you from sin and death!
Prayer:
Dear Jesus, my heart overflows with the passion You have given me through Salvation. Help me now Lord to work enthusiastically for You. Keep my heart focused on You. I want to be strong and immovable in both my faith and trust in You. Lord I pray that my behavior would always shine Your light within me. Amen.
