Read Ephesians 3
Key Verses: Ephesians 3:17-19
17 “Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s LOVE and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His LOVE is. 19 May you experience the LOVE of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”
You came to know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior because you believed in what the Bible says about Him. When you accepted Him into your heart He made His home there, He resides in your heart. Why? Because you trusted His Word.
With His presence in your life it is important to understand why you need to grow in your relationship with Him. He already resides in your heart, He’s a part of you, now you need to grow in the Love He has for you. When the root of a tree pushes deeper into the soil, it will grow, its roots will stretch out and the further they go the stronger that tree becomes. Same goes for you. As you grow in your knowledge of God’s Word and you learn how to Love like the Lord, you will grow and become stronger and stronger as your roots go deeper into understanding God’s Word and you adhere to what the Word of the Lord commands.
There are no limits to how much the Lord loves you. When you understand and experience God’s Love you will have a fullness of life that cannot be compared to anything the world may try to give you. You have life and power from the Lord, trust Him, continue to strive for understanding and live your life to the fullest.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus, Thank You for making Your home within my heart. I come to You now with the anticipation that I can experience Your Love to its fullest. I want my life to be made complete through Your Love. Help me understand just how wide, long, high and deep Your love is for me. Amen.
