Read Psalm Chapter 131

Key Verses: Psalm 131:1-3…

“Author is David”

Lord, my heart is not proud;
    my eyes are not haughty (showing an attitude of superiority).
I don’t concern myself with matters too great
    or too awesome for me to grasp.
Instead, I have calmed and quieted myself,
    like a weaned child who no longer cries for its mother’s milk.
    Yes, like a weaned child is my soul within me.

O Israel, put your hope in the Lord
    now and always.

PRAYER:

Lord God, I pray that I can come to You with a content heart, that my spirit is calm and the worries of this world have been weaned from my mind and my soul. Lord, I will always put my hope in You. I pray that heart would never become proud and that I would never show signs of superiority in my attitude. You are Lord of my life, You are the one I trust, You are the one who keeps me calm and quiet. Thank You Lord for all You do in my life, now and forever. Amen.
