Psalm 100
1 Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Worship the Lord with gladness.
Come before Him, singing with joy.
3 Acknowledge that the Lord is God!
He made us, and we are His.
We are His people, the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving;
go into His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him and praise His name.
5 For the Lord is good.
His unfailing love continues forever,
and His faithfulness continues to each generation.
Today just so happens to be Thanksgiving Day. So the Scripture reading for today is a wonderful reminder that we are to give honor and praise to our Father in heaven with grateful hearts.
As we look at our lives here on earth, we have so much to be thankful for, our families, our extended loved ones and friends. If we are able to provide for our families that means God has supplied a means for that provision. We should be thankful.
Our verses for today say to “Shout with joy to the Lord!” “Acknowledge that the Lord is God!”
The Lord Jesus Christ has given to us the freedom to choose eternal life. By accepting this for our own lives, it should bring us humbly to our knees in thanksgiving and praise for the sacrifice He made for us.
John 3:16 (AMP)
16 “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world, that He even gave His One and only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him as Savior, shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
God gave us His Son so we might live. This promise, this unfailing love, is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. That means with each generation we get to see here on earth and for those generations that continue after we are gone; they all will have the same promise… God’s unfailing love. Choose today, Thanksgiving Day to honor the Father and His Son with a grateful heart, have an attitude filled with joy. Choose today to be the day you can truly rejoice and be glad about what the Lord has done for you.

Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
