Read Psalm Chapter 141
Key Verses: Psalm 141:1-4…
“Author is David”
1 O Lord, I am calling to You. Please hurry!
Listen when I cry to You for help!
2 Accept my prayer as incense offered to You,
and my upraised hands as an evening offering.
3 Take control of what I say, O Lord,
and guard my lips.
4 Don’t let me drift toward evil
or take part in acts of wickedness.
Don’t let me share in the delicacies
of those who do wrong.
5 Let the godly strike me!
It will be a kindness!
If they correct me, it is soothing medicine.
Don’t let me refuse it.
But I pray constantly
against the wicked and their deeds.
6 When their leaders are thrown down from a cliff,
the wicked will listen to my words and find them true.
7 Like rocks brought up by a plow,
the bones of the wicked will lie scattered without burial.
8 I look to You for help, O Sovereign Lord.
You are my refuge; don’t let them kill me.
9 Keep me from the traps they have set for me,
from the snares of those who do wrong.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets,
but let me escape.
PRAYER:
***If you are ever feeling depressed or overwhelmed by your current circumstances, use verses 141:1-4 as your prayer to the Father. Whenever you are giving into the pressures of the world’s standards it can easily lead you on a path away from what the Lord has for your life. If you find yourself in a situation where you need the Lord’s help, cry out to Him! Seek godly advice from someone you trust knows the Word of God and get back on the right path***
Heavenly Father, I feel the wickedness of this world quickly suffocating me, please Lord hurry, I am calling to You for help! Accept this prayer as a beautiful and fragrant incense, one that pleases You. I am coming to You with my hands lifted high, I am asking for Your guidance, asking for Your wisdom and knowledge. Do not let me fall into the traps the enemy has laid out for me. Holy Spirit guard my tongue, control the words that come out of my mouth. Please Lord do not let me drift towards the evil of this world, do not allow me to get involved with the things that do not please You. Thank You, Lord for answering my cry for help, lead me to Your refuge, help me escape the wickedness which surrounds me. Amen.
